Sports have a great influence on developing a child’s self-confidence and self-worth. Participation in sports activities also helps to establish and develop mutual relationship and acceptance between the children.
It is very important to us that children are physically active every day. Physical activity encourages growth and leads to improved physical and mental health. We take the children to the gym, swimming pool, outdoor sports grounds – or just into nature every day:
We often go for walks or other outdoor activities.
Although close to downtown Ljubljana, we are located in the middle of nature.
Children express themselves through dancing.
Most of our games include movement.
A sports teacher is with us three times weekly to ensure professionally managed and safe physical exercise for our children.
During winter season we take our children swimming with experienced teachers, especially trained for teaching babies and toddlers to swim – consequently the large majority of our children can swim before their fourth birthday!
A great variety of activities, mostly take place outdoors and often with our sports teacher certainly have a strong influence on holistic development of our children. This is why sports is not only an important part of our programme but actually a central part of our children’s everyday experience.
